I appreciate people who paint women beautifully. And adore looking at those paintings.And today Mother's Day. Happy Mother's day, to all the moms in my life (especially my own, dear one).

I love this painting, too. For my docent class one day we spent about 30 minutes talking about it, and I was one of the only ones that liked it.
Everyone else thought it was depressing, which I thought was really interesting. I guess they were all really turned off by the muted tones.
