Hurry Up Spring! I am tired of waiting.

Today I feel disgusted by the weather and am very, very ready for spring. I have decided to make myself a window box to hang off of the balcony at our apartment and to grow every kind of beautiful flower I can make grow. The snow is melting, and what hasn't melted is brown and dreary. The ground is muddy, the sky is gray and nothing is beautiful and pristine: so I am ready for Spring.
Dad had his back surgery yesterday, and it went pretty well, so hopefully he gets better and better and returns to a more comfortable version of himself over the next couple of months.
We are all so excited Jeff and Heather are having a girl. It will be so fun to see pink and dresses and dolls around the house, and the boys will be such good big brothers. It is so exciting to see their excitement about a new baby in the family.
I have refrained from doing as much shopping lately, since I've been planning on taking some great and expensive vacations throughout the year and am already surprised at the amount of money in my savings account, even after paying my bills. YAY! It is nice to see I have some self control after all.
